Sage Summit 2017 is happening in Atlanta!

A premier conference for small businesses, Sage Summit has great learnings and keynote sessions prepared for the event.  Happening May 9th through May 11th, Sage Summit promises to be as exciting as it is informative.  Learn more HERE.

Even though conference schedules tend to be packed, you may have some time to squeeze in some local flavor while you are in town.  So here are a few ideas of places and experiences  worth making time for that are near the Summit 2017 venue.

World of Coca-Cola

WORLD OF COCA-COLA

The world’s most popular beverage brand calls Atlanta home.  At the iconic and interactive museum, you’ll learn about the history of the company, snag cool Coke merchandise, and sip on Coke flavors from around the world.  Other activities: catch a flick in the 4D theater, snap a selfie with a polar bear, or visit the vault that houses the secret formula!  Learn more at World of Coca-Cola.com.

CNN CENTER

CNN is another global brand with it’s headquarters in Atlanta.  Just across the street from the Georgia World Congress Center where Sage Summit 2017 is being held, you will find a world of dining and shopping options, perfect when you are taking a break from your learning sessions. Preview what’s available HERE. If you have more time, take a 50-minute guided walking tour of the news center and get behind-the-scenes views of Atlanta’s CNN studios and an exciting glimpse of news and broadcasting in action. Get more details about tours at Center.CNN.com.

SKYVIEW ATLANTA

The best way to see Atlanta is from 20 stories above it!  SkyView Atlanta is a giant Ferris wheel steps away from Centennial Olympic Park that offers scenic views of the city from climate-controlled gondolas.  The most exciting time to take a ride is at night!  It can be the perfect end to a day full of learning.  Get hours of operation and ticketing info at SkyViewAtlanta.com.

Fountain of Rings

CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK

Business conferences are awesome but you tend to get so much great information that it’s hard to absorb it all at once.  If you find yourself needing a break, put on your walking shoes and head across the street for some fresh air in Centennial Olympic Park.  Constructed for the 1996 Olympic games, the 21-acre grassy haven is often home to popular concerts and events.  The Fountain of Rings and flags of the countries that participated in the ’96 games are a highlight.  Learn more about the park, which is operated by the Georgia World Congress Center, at GWCCA.org/park.

UNDERGROUND ATLANTA

Underground Atlanta is a unique shopping and entertainment district in downtown Atlanta.  Literally located underground, it’s a great place to sample local cuisine, explore historical buildings and sites or pick up Atlanta souvenirs. Walking tours and a scavenger hunt can also be a part of your itinerary. Find out more at Underground-Atlanta.com.
